Course Title:
TOEIC (L/R) Preparation
Course Description:
This four-week course is meant as a Plan B to finish the Academic Year 2019/2020 in case it would prove impossible to go back to classroom teaching due to an aggravated state of the Covid-19 pandemic!
It ranges over four units only, namely units 25, 26, 27, and 28 of our textbook. It is meant to finish the students’ training for the international TOEIC test and ready them for both the mid-term as well as the term exams of the second semester as well as for a TOEIC test taking session by the end of May, or whenever they want thereafter.
Course Schedule:
Week 01: Unit 25: Listening Part 4: Talks
Focus: - Becoming familiar with re-statements involving “how” and “why” questions
- Being aware of same word distractors
Week 02: Unit 26: Reading Part 5: Incomplete Sentences
Focus: - Improving your knowledge of English language pronouns
Week 03: Unit 27: Reading Part 6: Text Completion
Focus: - Choosing the correct word: Prepositions and conjunctions
Week 04: Unit 28: Reading Part 7: Reading Comprehension
Focus: - Learning how to answer questions dealing with charts, tables, forms and double passages.
